CalendarChannel Privacy Policy
This policy covers the CalendarChannel app for Apple TV and the CalendarChannelBridge app for Mac.
The short version: JohnnyMac Apps does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. We don't run servers that receive your information, and our apps contain no ads, analytics, or tracking.
What we collect
Nothing. JohnnyMac Apps does not collect personal data of any kind through CalendarChannel or CalendarChannelBridge. We don't require an account, and we can't see your calendars, your location, or how you use the apps.
Your calendar information
CalendarChannelBridge runs on your Mac device. With your permission, it reads Apple Calendar on that Mac and the calendar subscriptions linked to it, such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendar, and sends event titles and times to CalendarChannel on your Apple TV.
- Your calendar information goes only from your own Mac device to your own Apple TV. It is never sent to JohnnyMac Apps or to anyone else.
- Only event titles and times are shown on your TV.
- You can turn off calendar access at any time on your Mac in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars.
Location and weather
CalendarChannel can show local weather using Apple Weather. To do this, it uses either the zip code you enter in CalendarChannel's Settings or, if you haven't entered one, your Apple TV's location.
- That zip code or location is sent to Apple's weather service only to get your forecast. It is not sent to JohnnyMac Apps.
- Apple handles that request under Apple's Privacy Policy.
- You can remove your zip code in CalendarChannel's Settings at any time.
Weather data is provided by Apple Weather. Data sources.
No ads, analytics, or tracking
Our apps don't show ads, don't include analytics or advertising tools, and don't track you across other apps or websites.
When you email us
If you email support@ or privacy@johnnymacapps.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and never share or sell it. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.
Children
Because our apps collect no personal data, they collect none from children either.
